How to Understand That the Airdrop Is From Scammers
As soon as you bought your first tokens, you became a target for scammers. Don't panic: just be vigilant, keep your cool, and then your hard-earned money will stay with you.
If you don't want to lose money, strictly follow the rules that I have listed below:
Do not trust letters from unfamiliar sources, especially if their authors do not speak English well or offer an implausibly large amount of money.
If you are pushed to immediate action, this is a sure sign of fraud. See a letter or advertisement that talks about the last ten places that are just waiting for highly paid candidates? Feel free to throw it in the trash.
Never share private keys. Never!
Scammers love to pretend to be celebrities. Take a closer look at how your idol's profile is written. If Elon Musk suddenly declared his tender feelings for you and even sent you a couple hundred bucks worth of tokens, it's time to be wary. Compare the address with the original, marked with a blue checkmark. Most likely, your letter will have an extra letter or underscore. Play the game "Find one difference". It's worth it, believe me.
If you are offered to buy an NFT cheaply, check the transaction history of the offered tokens. If the history is empty, this may be suspicious, unless it is a completely new project. To view the transaction history, you can use services such as blockchain.com (https://www.blockchain.com/explorer) (in case of BTC) and Etherscan.io (https://etherscan.io/)(in case of ETH).
Enable two-factor authentication: even if someone gets your password, they will also need your phone.
If you are counting on an airdrop (for example, from Hamster Kombat, which is expected in the coming days), connect a wallet with a zero balance for withdrawal. Then you will definitely not lose money.
Be careful and the DeFi world will be a safe haven for your crypto.
